    IN-STUDIO - Express Ashtanga Foundations

Did the Sunday morning Ashtanga express and enjoyed it! It’s described as the fundamentals and think that’s accurate - beginners would feel welcome here but someone who has done Ashtanga before would still enjoy the pared down primary sequence and getting to skip jump backs and forwards if desired. Carlotta was lovely and very encouraging, offering assists and advice throughout. It might not be intense enough for a hardcore Ashtangi, but for the rest of us it was a wonderful start to a Sunday

Always love love love Mitch! He’s actually one of the best teachers in NYC. I highly highly recommend him… especially if you want an advanced practice. But even though his practice is Ashtanga based, he’s so much more approachable and makes practicing fun and enjoyable. I always feel challenged in a comfortable manner. I truly feel like I can deepen my practice in his classes. Thank you, always! 🙏

Nikita is a great instructor, she has a great singing voice, nice playlist, welcoming, challenging sequences but allows you to explore & make modifications, feels in tune & connected with the students. She is currently just subbing but it would be nice to see her teach here regularly. The only other instructor I really like is Vera, I wish she taught during the week as well! TBH i’m not a fan of most of the current teachers who teach multiple classes including Susan Bhrinda & Julia. I also wish they had a weekday afternoon class, like around 2-4pm range.

Heal & Release: Yin Yoga + Sound Bath

I love Zao Yin’s sound healing class. I went twice while visiting NYC, and I’m so glad I did. She focused on the sacral chakra area, especially the hips, which felt incredible and was exactly what I needed. I also really appreciated the spiritual elements she incorporated into the class. I felt so open, relaxed, and renewed afterward. She is super friendly, and you can clearly see that she genuinely loves what she does. The studio is beautiful as well. The space is lovely, filled with windows, and has such a warm, uplifting energy. When I come back to Manhattan, I can’t wait to visit this studio again.
