    Hatha (warm)

I actually didn’t stay for a class, coz there was barely room to fit in. It doesn’t feel comfortable to practice in such heated room with barely space to squeeze in a mat. Just a heads up to anyone who want to join Hatha class on Sunday. Otherwise seems like a lovely spot. Oh, and the studio doesn’t have windows (in comparison to Mission location).

    [ YOGA ] Morning Glory

Great class, this was my second time at the studio, nice space with a great atmosphere and energy, I like the community here. It’s heart warming that it seems like members have somewhat of a relationship with one and other. Really nice people, one person took it upon herself to give me the tour of the space on behalf of the front desk, another member brought homemade banana bread for the class, another day she brought flowers for the studio, people would introduce themselves to me, it seems like a safe space enough that someone felt comfortable enough to be emotional at the end of the practice and I noticed another member comforting them. It was really hard to get up early but I felt really good about going into my day after the class, starting off with peace and kindness all around. 6:50am is a nice time because it’s early and I feel like I’m getting ahead of my dat but also not requiring me to get up at 5am. I appreciate that Kristen would do the practice with us so that I could follow along, she’d still walk around the room and sometimes plop closer to my mat, perhaps noticing I am new and would benefit from being able to see her closer. Chelsea is a good instructor too, she was nice and personable, however, I would’ve appreciated her demonstrating the movements as opposed to mostly verbal instruction which is not my strong suit. As a newer participant to yoga, when told to do the “vinyasa” routine ? And I don’t know what that is , I would have to make do with myself. However, she still created a nice environment that I felt I could fill the those times of uncertainty with my own stretches and to relax and focus on my breath. I suppose I could’ve asked her to show me but I didn’t want to interrupt the flow of the class. Still felt great at the end of the class. Highly recommend this studio, also had parking!
