see all reviewsI’ve been training at Originae for two years, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! Nancy and Tashon create an incredibly welcoming environment where everyone feels supported, no matter their skill level. Their expertise in boxing is evident, and they personalize each workout to help you achieve your goals. The classes are challenging yet fun, and the community vibe keeps me motivated. I’ve seen amazing improvements in my technique and fitness, all while making great friends along the way. If you’re looking for a place to train, Originae is the perfect choice!

see all reviewsLoved the class, instructor, space. My one critique is about halfway/towards the end of class, I wish the spoken instruction slowed down a bit. Once the heat and relaxation settles in, it takes me a second to process left and right and what I’m actually being told to do and I get lost.

see all reviewsI had a great time! While I didn’t know the general routine of things in this gym my first time there, I picked it up fairly easily. Instructions are demonstrated, and then if you forgot immediately like I do, there are videos of the moves playing on the walls. There are multiple instructors who come around to offer pointers and encouragement. I had to rummage around the gym at times to find lighter weights for some exercises, but aside from that it went really well! We all worked up a sweat and I know I left with a smile.

see all reviewsI did not expect to work up a sweat but to my surprise it happened! This class was tough! I think I’ll be more mindful about doing Lagree Pilates 2 days prior in the future because my body still hadn’t fully recovered making this class harder as well. That aside, you will definitely get in a good workout here and leave with sore muscles. I always appreciate when instructors offer to help you correct form but don’t make you feel pressured to do more than you can especially if it’s clear you’re trying but can’t complete the sets. Megan was encouraging and knowledgeable as well and at times knew how to throw in a few jokes.

Veronica impresses as authentically engaged with yoga practice and guidance, providing super helpful, nuanced adjustments and notes on technique throughout—nice to have a relatively modest class size, presumably a bit more practical to do so. Part of the reason I gravitate to TH versus the million other classes in NYC is bc of their team of great coaches like Zack, who is just motivating, funny, and obviously an experienced athlete and mentor. If you’re a newcomer I’d also suggest him as one of the best choices to try first because he is consistent, literally every time, at clearly explaining instructions on each activity and physically demonstrating movements.

But after an hour of laying on the PEMF mat, I feel so much better… and the next day, AMAZING! The magnetic field created little twitches in all of the tiny stabilizer muscles and deeply located crevices of my core. Tension in places where I didn’t feel sore responded to the therapy magically with a twitch and release. Now I know where to go when my hips need a tune-up after a series of tough core workouts.
