I attended a Chicago house dance class and loved the focus on celebrating house culture and movement. The instructor clearly had a strong understanding of the style, and the class offered a good introduction to house dance. That said, I found the atmosphere a bit uneasy at times. Clearer communication about class expectations—especially around recording—would help participants feel more comfortable. I also feel the space could benefit from more encouragement to foster inclusivity and connection. Overall, I appreciate the effort to teach and preserve this unique art form. I look forward to coming back and growing in this style!

This is the best dance cardio class in Chicago. The energy from the instructor and attendees is so welcoming and positive, and the playlist is unbeatable. Keep in mind there is zero breakdown of the routine- you just follow along as best you can but don’t worry, you’ll have fun and SWEAT even if you’re just vibing.

I had a great experience in this class. Hadleigh is a wonderful teacher. She took us through a nice long warmup, followed by a couple of across the floor combinations, and a combo in the center to finish. I really enjoyed it.

    Adult Beginner Jazz

Since it was my first time, I look up Jazz Dance on Youtube to see what I’m signing up to and it definitely was! The instructor was very charismatic and open to questions. You start with a warmup and then teaches you the move step by step and then add the music in between. They only seem to teach you up to verse 1 and chorus but that’s enough for the hour. Will do it again :)

Fun and challenging class. Plenty of guidance but no judgement when I had to make huge modifications to get through the moves. Great place to learn.

    Open Level shuffle dance choreography

I love this class! Elena is so patient and engaging as an instructor. Her choreo is so fun, mixing different styles while being approachable enough for beginners but still challenging for more advanced dancers.

Kaitlin (sub for Lauren) taught both classes today. I am a total newbie to dancing and k pop. Had a total blast. Kaitlin is super patient in helping us get the moves. And makes it so much fun. As well as explaining the vibe behind each choreography. Will definitely be back!
