    Fast Twitch Lower Body was a very involved class. I’m new to strength training. The instructor showed me each exercise quickly beforehand, especially those on a machine I’d never seen before, then told me to follow behind the woman near me in the circuit. It helped that she was obviously a regular; so I just copied her but with lighter weights where necessary. Or, she told me she was doing the advanced/harder version so I did the easier version. He came around and gently corrected my form whenever necessary. The locker rooms were clean with a well lighted sauna where I could read a book, and clean showers. No hooks in the showers though, so bring your own to hold your shower stuff.

    I’m a big fan of Coach Vicki’s classes! The programming is creative so I don’t get bored; it’s paced so I don’t feel rushed and can focus on my form and moving with intention; and it’s the right amount of challenging so I can ramp it up on days I’m feeling it or ramp it down on days my body is just barely hanging in there. There are all levels in the class, and Vicki offers modifications for every level and/or injury. She’s great with giving clear instructions, motivating the class, and watching everyone’s form to make sure we’re moving safely and effectively. She’s a personal trainer first, which comes through in her care for communicating safe techniques, pointers and cues throughout the class.

    Ang was a really energetic instructor. I liked how she would demo the move slowly before going into it full out, and she also provided modifications for people who needed less or more. She also had a great playlist! I love when the music syncs with the number of reps. I would recommend arriving about 10 minutes early to get a good spot. This particular class uses mats, weights and resistance bands, all of which were provided but if you prefer using your own mat I’d bring it.
