The class was amazing, I got my neck stretches and at the end she gave me a lovely pressure point shavasana neck massage. I went from a 8/10 on the pain scale to a 3/10 who for someone with chronic neck pain, that’s a freaking miracle. So I will 10000% be taking classes with her again going forward! I’ve always loved this studio and todays class with Kathleen was one of those ones you walk away from and feel amazing for the rest of your day 😊

Incredible workout too without too much difficulty. Challenging but not unbearable. Workout but not impossible for a first time experience. My only note is that there is not much focus on modifications for people who need it. I always make my own as needed so doesn’t bother me, may help you to be aware of if you typically need fo modify.

Was more intense twists and slow vinyasa not what most would consider restoration. We had about 15 minutes of restorative to sound bowl at the end of class and a full hour of vinyasa flow to slow music that were intense poses. I recommend doing more of what you did at the end of the class or change the name of the class. My body was craving what I thought the class was based off the misleading description. Today she was giving lots of hands-on corrections as well (for people who said it was ok), which was great for me. I did work up a sweat so I wish I had brought the hot yoga towel to add to my mat! Other than that, it was the perfect amount of restorative/connecting while still getting my muscles working :)

I always just feel so good after her class. so at first was disappointed to see a sub teacher but as it went on, was really pleased. Anna has a similar style which is not a power/vinyasa class, more slow, concentrated, a lot of stretching type moves, the type of yoga that I want to be practicing to help alleviate and open my body. Wow, I was so impressed and will look forward to taking another of Anna's classes!

Since you have to have your eyes closed for a long time, I’d recommend wearing glasses instead of contacts so your eyes don’t get too dry/irritated from being closed with contacts in.

This was my first time at Ohm Thai and I walked past the small space three times before realizing the sign was on the door (on the right when you enter the plaza). I didn’t realize it would be one big room divided into four sections with curtains, but it didn’t bother me. There might be a fitness studio upstairs because you’ll hear thuds and bangs here and there, but the room plays oasis and gentle relaxing music to make up for it. Emma was my masseuse, and I requested the Swedish massage (not 100% knowing what to expect), and oh my goodness did I walk out of there in a daze because I was genuinely relaxed. She asked where I would like to focus and I mentioned my neck, shoulder and lower back. She ended up focusing on my entire body (literally from head to toe) which was surprisingly nice! I fell asleep three times because I requested a lighter pressure for a more gentle massage. The hot towels and the aromatherapy was also a bonus. I think she accidentally gave me an extra 10 minutes, or maybe she thought my brittle bones needed it lol. Anyways, 1000/10 recommend!!
