Then we learned tricks/spins. They were built/stacked on each other until it made a combination. I really appreciated that because I have a difficult time transitioning between steps and knowing how to put steps into a routine. The instructor was very friendly and made an effort to learn everyone’s name. She circled around the room to give individual attention. I’ll definitely be back, thank you!

I’m so used to walking to a beginner’s class only to find myself being the only one stumbling after the teacher only showed the combo once or twice and everyone else got it right away. Joshua takes the time to go over weight distribution, body isolation, and breaks down each step in a really understandable and easy manner. Can’t wait to go back! Although there was an overflow of 2 extra students, she split us in groups of 2 which helped the environment feel collaborative and supportive when working in the pole. The other students were very friendly and sweet. The instructor was fantastic— she gave different tricks to different students according to their level. You can tell she really wants you to be the best you can be 💎 . She gave so much individualized attention to everyone, she is very kind. And boy, she is STRONG. I was clearly much heavier than her, but I didn’t feel worried about falling if she was spotting. The class was very patient with me even though I’m a beginner level, and everyone else was advanced. I took the prerequisite that is mentioned in the description (3 intro classes), but I still felt guilty for bringing the class down level-wise. However, I keep learning the same tricks in beginner classes, so it’s been difficult finding a beginner class that progresses beyond the basics (chair spin, knee spin, fireman, etc). I would definitely attend this class again because it will undoubtedly make me stronger, but I don’t want to slow the class down/take time away from the other students. So I might work on my core and arm strength first before returning. Thank you so much, the class was very inspirational~! 🌟

see all reviewsThis was a fantastic class!! Anastasia is a gem 💎 I feel like it’s hard to find an adult ballet class where the instructor gives you corrections and advice. This is it!! Anastasia really wants to see you improve. She gives the class her undivided attention, always monitoring and adjusting you. Her combinations are a good intermediate level and she will go through them twice before starting the music. She doesn’t waste time— she practically says the whole combination in one breath, I’m amazed at her lung capacity, tbh hahaha. The class did start 10 minutes late, but that’s because she wanted to continue working with her earlier class for an extra 10 minutes, which I respect. Our class went over by 20 minutes at the end, so she spent an extra 10 minutes with us, too. She also spent time teaching students after class ended, she really cares. Thank you!

What made the class for sure was the instructor, Annette. She was so sweet and welcoming right from the start.
