I attend the Block Strength classes to increase my strength and weight load as the exercises are usually targeted at heavy and slow weight lifting exercises so you can go heavier than you might normally want to try. This class was more varied strength work including a fair bit of body work as well so it would be fine if that’s what you’re after.

You do break a sweat and get the heart rate up and feel challenged but there’s such a lovely emphasis on being kind to yourself throughout and some more spiritual stuff that’s just very well done. She's a great instructor who corrected my form, helped activate my core muscles and added a little burn to my glutes. LOVE IT! I highly recommend coming here. The space is clean and it's nice that you have a little chat with your instructor and some of the girls after class. It gave a sense of community and inclusivity. Thank you for the experience! Things to keep in mind: 1) no lockers; 2) you have to go get the ring and the elastic at the end of the room before class; 3) staff are nice-ish (the support instructor was so lovely, Nicole a bit less so) but they won’t go out of their way to show you around and explain to you how the place works.

In this Reformer class, we used additional equipment, which I really liked because it added challenge and made it more interesting. The instructor introduced new exercises, and actually, the whole class consisted of exercises I had never tried before, which I really liked. The only small downside is that as the number of Reformers increased, the class size also increased, leaving the instructor with less chance to give individual corrections.
